How to Bring Really Good Friends into Your Life in 7 steps or less

1. List all the qualities you are looking for in a friend.

As you write them down, begin each sentence with "I want”.

I want a loyal friend who stands up for me.

I want a friend who loves shopping or reading books just as much as me.

I want my friend to believe in the good in everyone.

If you’re having trouble coming up with detail, answer the following questions (Come up with 10-20 points):

What do I want in my friend(s) mentally?

What do I want in my friend(s) spiritually?

What do I want in my friend(s) physically?

What commonalities do I want to share with my friend(s)?

How do I want my friend(s) to treat me and how do I want to treat them?

What kind of trust, loyalty, love, understanding, and/or acceptance do I want to have between myself and my friend(s)?

What do I want to gain from this friendship?

What else?!

2. Now take these 10-20 points that you came up with and rewrite them into the present tense. Switching the “I want” to an “I have.”

I have a loyal friend who stands up for me And remember, this is your list so if you want to add a little more, do it! The more details, the better the outcome!

I have a loyal friend who stands up for me, I always feel safe with them and we always have lots of fun!

3. Now that you’ve rewritten your list as if the items have already happened, you can narrow down the list even more to 7-10 points.

4. Next write down your affirmation.

The act of affirming or the state of being affirmed; assertion.

Something declared to be true; a positive statement or judgment.

Your affirmation for this exercise should be something like “I have found my perfect best friend and it was fast and easy” You’re going to repeat this to yourself for the next 30 days, over and over out loud or in your mind. Repeat it more and more every day, make it a race! In those 30 days, or very shortly after, you’re going to find the friends you wanted! Try this out and see for yourself how many wonderful people you can meet!

5. Find pictures that represent friendship to you.

A group of friends hanging out, laughing.

A few or a group of people going out to dinner or a movie.

Concerts

Dancing

Anything! You decide what you want to do with your new and amazing friends.

How to Have a Fun Solo Girl’s Night Out with yourself in 7 steps or less

1. Make a list of 10 wants for how you want to feel about the night. What kind of things would you like to do? How would you want the atmosphere, energetic or more mellow?

And use this first affirmation to get started: “Tonight I’m going to have a lot of fun!”

Write it on a note card.

I want to have a lot of fun tonight; I want to feel happy and alive!

I want to feel excited, I want to watch fun shows, draw something cool to hang on the wall, hang out with a cool friend for an hour, treat myself to Starbucks, and to my favorite delicious food!

I want to learn something and find interesting information or stimulating conversation!

I want to dress comfortably while looking fabulous and pamper myself by doing my nails, toes, and really take time to enjoy myself.

2. Re-write the list by taking out the “I want” and rewriting in the present tense as if it was actually happening.

I am having a lot of fun tonight, I am feeling happy and alive!

I am excited! Watching fun shows while I draw something cool for the wall, drinking a Starbucks with my cool friend for an hour, and my favorite delicious food!

I am learning interesting and amazing things from the great conversations I have!

I am dressed comfortably, and still look fabulous! My nails and toes look bright and fresh and I am really enjoying myself!

3. Read the list to yourself 5 times. Now write down a list of everything that strikes you as the most fun and rewrite your list from most fun to least.

4. Organize everything you need for the list. If you need to pick up food, take the time to go out beforehand or find out the info for the restaurant you’re going to.

5. While you’re organizing everything, continue to repeat your new affirmation:

“I am having a lot of fun!”

6. Keep brainstorming fun things to do for your solo Girl’s Night Out! And keep adding them to the list until your evening is full or keep going for the next time!

Learn to relax and create a routine to de-stress in 7 steps or less

1. Your affirmation is going to be: “I am learning to be relaxed” and you’re going to start repeating this all day every day, as many times as possible from waking until bedtime. You are going to see a difference in 3 days if you consistently repeat this as if you were memorizing it.

2. Your next affirmation is: “I have found/created the perfectly fun, short and simple routine to de-stress everyday that I always look forward to doing.”

It may seem long, this one you don’t have to repeat fast all day, just repeat it a good amount a little slower so you hear everything your repeating. Memorize it, then start repeating it a little faster, in a comfortable speed.

3. Start including a 10 min nap 1-2 times a day. The first time is once half of your day has passed, if you can, to de-stress and relax and the second is an emergency nap before late night events. Lay down comfortably, with the air at a comfortable temperature, just be relaxed. Close your eyes and breath through your nose, taking deep relaxing breaths. Repeat “I am staying awake, yet letting go of all the stress and my energy is increasing faster and faster, as soon as I wake up I am going to be energetic, happy, relax and ready for everything that’s coming, and after 10 minutes I’m automatically waking up”

4. Write it on a note card & carry it with you to help to remind you to repeat!

5. Memorize this, and repeat it to your comfort as you lay, this will help you stay awake and gain the most out of your nap.

Getting up easily early in the morning in 7 steps or less

1. This is a really good exercise to start helping you mold your schedule. You need an affirmation you’re going to repeat during the day. To create the affirmation, write down what time you want to get up, how easily you want to wake up and lastly what is the first thing you want to do after you get up.

1. "I want to get up at 4 am.”

2. "I want to get up quickly and easily.”

3. “I want to go straight to the shower as soon as I get up.”

Now combine all 3 above into 1 sentence.

"I want to get up at 4 am and its easy, I immediately go straight to the shower".”

Now take out “want to”.

“I get up at 4 am and its easy, I immediately go straight to the shower.”

2. What you did by taking out the “want to” is put it in the present tense, as if its happening right now. Keep repeating this affirmation as much as you can all day and you’ll feel like it, good things are going to happen! Write down the affirmation on a note card and carry it with you everywhere you go, repeat it for at least 4 weeks and see how easily you are going to start waking up, and happily!

3. To get up easily the first thing you need to do is to prepare. Get your clothing, food, home, and materials for the next day ready and spend the last 30 minutes before bed getting everything together so you can get up and go the next day.

4. Clothing is just having your outfit ready on a chair for you to put on in the morning, easy! (I have an entry about picking out your outfit for the next day) Also be sure to consider any accessories, jewelry, scarves, etc. you may want to add to your outfit!

5. Food: Make your lunch for the next day and prepare the products to be cooked for breakfast, think ahead about your food as well as anything you may want throughout the day.

6. Organize your environment, your room, desk and everything around you where you wake up, getting an alarm with which you can play your favorite music would be a big bonus. Having a clear area allows us to focus on the things we want to get done, clear the mental clutter by cleaning your home!

7. Materials for the next day may be any paperwork that needs to be ready and anything you need to take to work, meetings, anything you need the next day. Get it ready next to the door so you can just grab it.

- Watch a comedy before bed, make sure to go to sleep happy, watch funny videos or read something. You know what makes you happy when you do it so do something that will put you in that mood before bed

- As you lay in your bed falling asleep repeat as much as you can until you sleep “ I am getting up at ______ and its going to be easy!”, just repeat over and over like a race, this will also help you fall asleep
